Ik heb de indruk dat dat blauw zo licht toont op die foto's, maar in een B6 biturbo hebben ze dat ook ooit gedaan en daar was dat in combo met een andere kleur, waardoor dat een stuk donkerder leek. Sowieso, een groot deel van de foto's op autogespot komt ook uit de Oostbloklanden. Maar anderzijds is dat geen slechte zaak, die mensen tellen heel wat centen neer voor een (lelijk gemodificeerde) bak, dus Alpina blijft draaien! En ze verruimen er hun personalisatiemogelijkheden mee, waardoor speciale interieurs mogelijk blijven. Spijtig genoeg met soms foeilelijke gevolgen Edoch, Lavalina Cognac Gewolkt ziet er op foto ook uit als een smoothie van diarree met kippensoep, maar irl (in real leather) ziet dat er wel heel knap uit Kan bij deze B4 biturbo Cabrio net hetzelfde zijn, foto's geven soms zo'n verschillend beeld... Da's numero 003, persvoertuig en ook te zien op de foto's die naast de Concorde werden genomen. Gi-gan-tisch ferm machien, alleen al door het verhaal dat er achter hangt! Nummer 001 zou trouwens schijnbaar eentje geweest zijn in Alpinagrün, maar blijkbaar ooit gestolen. Ik zal dat verhaal eens proberen opsnorren, ik dacht dat het ooit verteld was door Karl Otto Noelle. Quote

HI GuysHavnt posted for a while as I have been hectic as usual.Well met Mr Karl Otto Noelle here in the United Arab Emirates a couple of weeks ago as he was here at the opening of s friend of mines new tuning shop in Abu Dhabi.Was pleasantly surprised to see him and had a good hour long chat with him as we spoke about some the Alpina's I had that he had worked on the engines for at Alpina.Really nice guy that told me some very interesting facts that I would like to share with fellow board members.We were talking about the Alpina's from the 80's as I am a huge E28 fan, and went through the list that I had owned, E28 B9, B10, E34 B10 and E32 B12 and he was reminiscing about his days at Alpina.Also thanked him for developing the best of best, the Legend more commonly known as the Alpina B10 Bi-Turbo.He told me a very interesting story regarding the unveiling of the car. He himself was driving car no 001. It was in Alpina Green, and he drove to the Frankfurt Motorshow where it was left in a car park. The stand was being set up that day and all the display cars for the Alpina stand were getting prepared for display for the opening of the show the next day.He told me that at the end of a long day of set up that when he returned to the car park to pick the car up, it had been stolen!!!!!The police were called and report given but the car was never ever found. He believed that the car may have ended up in the UK.Second interesting fact was about the E36 Alpina. As we all know and fellow members here own, the ultimate E36 Alpina, being the B8 with the 4.0 V8.However this was not to be the ultimate E36 Alpina. Mr Otto Noelle had developed a 2.8 24 valve straight six based twin turbo, using everything learnt from the B10 Bi-Turbo experience. Test engines were built and and a test car was also put together. He told me the engine was putting out somewhere in the region of 350BHP, and was lighter obviously than the B8. But through pressures from the top (ie the Boss) and he also from BMW itself, this was not going to happen, and instead the B8 was born. It was around this time that he departed from Alpina. But imagine a E36 B3 Bi- Turbo!!!!!The most interesting story though is the last one. His own car was an Alpina B10 Bi-Turbo (another one, not the stolen one) and after he left, a certain small manufacturer from Stuttgart that makes sports cars asked if they could "borrow" the car. They agreed to give him a loan car for the duration of the time they had the car and he could choose any model he liked. He chose a 964 Carrera Targa and drove it for the loan period. This is where it gets interesting, they kept the B10 Bi-Turbo for 3 MONTHS!!!!!He said he had no idea what they did with it, but it came back in exceptionally clean condition.I think its funny that it was about 2 years later that Porsche then bought out their first production twin turbo car the 993......................Any way very nice gentleman and very knowledgeable and funny enough he still lives in Buchloe.Just thought I would share.Regards to all. Vicious 3.886 Geplaatst: 1 april 2014 Geplaatst: 1 april 2014 Of het nummer 001 was is trouwens betwistbaar, het zou volgens de schrijver (en Kees van het Alpina-Archive) 'één van de eerste' B10 Bi-Turbo's geweest zijn. De prototypes hadden altijd iets hogere nummers, bewijze ook de Zinnoberrot 003 die de perswagen was. Niettemin blijven het interessante verhalen! Quote
